PARAMNESIA!! developemnt

Paramnesia/Hallucinations

Haroon had only newly turned 15 when the trauma from the bullying led Haroon to withdraw even further from people. He developed trust issues, believing that everyone was out to get him. He became increasingly paranoid and mistrustful, believing that his peers were all talking behind his back and plotting against him. Paramnesia and hallucinations can have a significant impact on emotional development, as it is an extremely concerning mental health issue. Haroon suffered a feeling of intense fear or terror as he was no longer able to differentiate between reality and the imagined. This fear was soon compounded by the confusion caused by his own hallucinations, such as seeing figures not there, and hearing voices in his head. Haroon began to feel overwhelmed by these experiences, as they seemed completely out of his control. He repeatedly experienced fear or became paralyzed with fear even in everyday situations that should be exciting or enjoyable. Haroon’s emotional development was affected because he became distrustful of people and the world at large. He felt a deep sense of insecurity due to his hallucinatory experiences. Haroon became overwhelmed and unable to control his emotions. He experienced bouts of emotional outbursts due to his paramnesia. The feeling of constantly being on edge and unable to control his environment greatly impacted Haroon’s emotional development. Therefore, paramnesia and hallucinations significantly disrupted the emotional development of Haroon. Such experiences significantly impacted on his mental health and well-being, making him distrustful of people and increasingly anxious. It was important for Haroon to receive help to manage his symptoms and regain a sense of emotional stability. Also, some of the hallucinations that Haroon experienced damaged his reputation. For example, he often hallucinated about someone in his life that simply does not exist. This could lead to others thinking he was making up stories or be seen as evidence of a lack of social connection. This, on top of feeling isolated and worried, made it difficult for Haroon to build and maintain relationships with other people.

In Haroon’s religion, lying was a major sin and greatly frowned upon in the conventional household he lived in. Due to the people around him not believing him, they did indeed label him as a liar which infuriated and emotionally frustrated him immensely. Despite his religion stating that health (spiritual, emotional, mental, physical, etc.) was something to be looked altered, Haroon began doubting himself and his own faith. When he was 11-13, Haroon had attended an extremely strict, disciplined mosque which had left him with minor religious trauma, and so he began to fear the wrath of God if he really was faking the hallucinations and anxiety disorders, etc.
